After the trauma of the blowout, we all stayed in Tasman Holiday Park, Te Anau for 2 nights. In the morning, Bruce, Cathy, Robyn & Angus drove to Manapouri on Lake Manapouri to take the Doubtful Sound Cruise. Kim & Mark had done the Milford Sound Cruise last time they were in NZ, so instead they signed up for a 60km long eBike guided tour. The Doubful Sound Cruise is a 7 hour adventure. Firstly you get on a cruise boat to cross Lake Manipouri, then a coach through an isolated area of National Park to Doubtful Sound where you board another Cruise boat for a 3 hour comprehensive cruise around most areas of the Sound. Then retrace your footsteps on the coach and Lake Manapouri Cruise boat again. Dramatic Fiordland photos abound on this cruise. Hold on to your eyes while you view the shots. After the Cruise we stayed again in Te Anau. Cathy & Bruce chased down the replaced tyre from the “Beefy good looking NZ Lad” (Cathy’s description) who changed the tyre and we all headed off to Dunedin.
