F) Kurow, Clay Cliffs - 24th & 25th Oct
Upon leaving Dunedin, we were heading towards the central lakes and moutains area, but stayed in Kurow Holiday Park for the night where we camped alongside a stream which was designated a “trout sanctuary”. We ate dinner by the stream and watched birdlife in and around the stream. The next moring we headed to Clay Cliffs where an unusual formation was erroded from clay sediment causing unusual yellowy spires, which we explored for a hour or two.
